Founded in 1987 to create alternative eveningwear and sexy but soft daywear.
The collections are based on mainly stretch fabrics and appeal to young independent women who are self confident and assertive, but who also have a taste of frivolity and fantasy. The Vicky Martin collection celebrates the joy of dressing up.
The continued success of the label is not only dependent on applied creativity, but also in the supply and demand strategy. The business is set up to ‘listen’ and ‘respond’ answering market trends instantly.
We operate our own Manchester based workshop, all product initiation, design and production are in-house and we create and deliver new styles every week. It is this in-house facility that gives us the flexibility to execute small runs and original effects, providing constant ‘freshness’ at retail. We don’t mass-produce hence the quick turnaround in fabrics and design.
All our garments are individually and carefully made using fabric sourced from France, Italy and England. Our core fabrics range from soft jerseys and lycras, silk crepes, fluid satins, delicate laces and chiffons, fine knitwear and unusual prints. We use Swarovski crystals and spend time finding unusual trimmings to decorate our designs.
Other Vicky Martin ranges also developed are underwear, swimwear, accessories and Limited Edition pieces to expand the brand identity.
